With the recent Impact segment where controversial wrestler Joey Ryan was taken to "wrestler's court" for his over-the-top in-ring antics being one of the funniest in quite some time, it is clear that Impact still has a good feel for what makes entertaining, and often funny wrestling television.

TNA Impact has always let things get a little looser and went for some ridiculous moments in its stories. While this created quite a few unintentionally hilarious moments, they had a knack for delivering well-formed comedy throughout their entire run. Here are the 10 most hilarious moments from TNA.

10 Sharkboy and Curry Man VS Team 3D

It's impossible to make a list of TNA's funniest moments without acknowledging Sharkboy. He was the main comedic relief for a few years in TNA and had a surprising level of popularity and success at that.

This match is a highlight because it also features the often funny Curry Man, and after a big promo from Sharkboy, it culminated in a fish market street fight. While the match itself is played straight despite the heavy use of fish related weaponry, the announcers are having a blast calling it, and their enjoyment quickly becomes contagious.

9 Kurt Angle's Thanksgiving Dinner

TNA had a knack for just getting their wrestlers together, and letting them interact in character. This is a prime example, as most of the roster come together for a Thanksgiving meal in 2007.

The wrestlers all keep their characters on at all times, and the whole thing is non-stop rowdiness. The increasing despair that sets in on Angle as his home is overrun by superstars highlights how ridiculous it would for any of these people to do any normal day to day activities. Something that is often ignored in wrestling.

8 Ric Flair is Ejected From Ringside In A Wheelchair

Ric Flair's reactions were a highlight of early TNA, and this one takes the cake. A wheelchair-bound Flair is ringside for an Aj Styles match with Abyss. As Abyss gets the upper hand, Flair manages to get his chair up onto the ring apron, where he can spray the referee in the eyes with some sort of mist.

After being ejected for his interference, Hulk Hogan comes out to take Flair backstage. A helpless Flair throws a childlike tantrum all the way up the ramp as Hogan drags him to the back.

7 Sharkboy Wakes Up From A Coma

Another notable moment from Sharkboy came after he was ambushed and put into a coma. The wrestler was off TV for a while, and when he finally awoke, something was drastically different. Sharkboy woke up believing he was actually Stone Cold Steve Austin. This hilarious moment turned into a full gimmick as the character fully transitioned into Stone Cold in a shark suit. He even won matches with the stunner and drank clam juice from a can to celebrate. Gimme a shell yeah.

Booker T was an underrated performer on TNA before returning to the WWE, and his current role being a commentator makes this moment all the more hilarious in retrospect.

Booker T is doing guest commentary when a brawl breaks out in the ring. After commentating "Looks like Booker T is getting involved" the wrestler joins the others in the ring, with a microphone still in hand. He proceeds to jump into the fray but continues calling the spots as well. This results in a hilarious minute of Booker T describing the beat down as he is delivering it.

5 Sting disguised as Sting

In an homage to one of WCW's many wild moments, a man wearing a mask made to look like Sting's face paint rose from the front row of the crowd and attacked Rob Van Dam with a chair. The faux fan would then pull off the Sting mask, revealing the exact same design under it, painted on the real Sting .

The moment was hilarious, violent, and just absurd enough to be something that could only happen in pro wrestling. It doesn't hurt that it was quite GIF'able as well.

4 Broken Matt Hardy

Take your pick of any Hardy compound match for this spot, but Total Nonstop Deletion might be the best choice. The Hardy compound is one of the strangest things to ever make it to nationally televised pro wrestling, and every match set there has been a bonkers barrage of funny moments.

Intentional comedy or not doesn't matter as the matches are played completely straight, even with holograms, roman candle gunfights, and a lake that sends you back in time. The matches were so absurd and unique that they actually brought TNA some mainstream attention when they were happening.

3 Jay Lethal And Ric flair Have A Woo Off

During a short-lived feud with The Nature boy, an up and coming Jay Lethal would come out imitating the Nature Boy. The whole segment is great thanks to Lethal's spot-on impersonation, but the finale is what puts it on the list.

The argument escalates, then completely devolves into the men woo-ing at one another. They get louder and faster, and more animated, until both men are spinning and bouncing about just woo-ing as hard as they can.

2 Aces and Eight's Funeral

Aces and Eights were a faction that grew quickly on Impact until they had become the show's version of the NWO. With that, came the same problems the NWO eventually had. Too many members and too much reliance of the group to carry shows. Finally, the group was beaten and then disbanded.

The following week a funeral was held for Aces and Eights, and the resulting segment was one of the best intentional comedy segments in TNA history. The continuity and interactions between stars at the funeral were pitch-perfect and the speeches were hilarious, making it the perfect way to acknowledge and send-off the group.

1 Steiner Math

This being intentional comedy is debatable, but what isn't debatable is that it belongs on any list of best promos to ever come out of TNA. As a triple threat match between Scott Steiner, Samoa Joe, and Kurt Angle for the world title approaches, Steiner breaks down the odds of winning the match. The math is an insane full-frontal assault of numbers, fractions, and a little gibberish that does not come anywhere close to checking out. While almost any promo by Steiner could make this list, this was easily his magnum opus.
